Jon Paul "Pope" Uritis

Founder / Systems

Canadian-American entrepreneur and engineer with a nontraditional path into tech. Turns complexity into clarity through architecture, automation, and a belief that real progress comes from building what lasts.

Jon Paul has been creating since age 13—writing, selling, coding, and tinkering his way through every chapter of a remarkably diverse career. After earning a B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Kansas, he followed curiosity wherever it led: from freelance web work to a top-ten national sales role at Verizon, to engineering positions at Nintendo and machine-learning research at Kaptivating Technology.

In 2014, he founded Storm Cloud Development, bringing together years of technical depth and entrepreneurial instinct to build distributed systems, intelligent automation, and data pipelines that help organizations see clearly through the chaos. Today, as a Staff Engineer at InStride, he continues to design resilient architectures that balance scale, efficiency, and human impact—bridging strategy and implementation with equal fluency.

Based in Reno, Nevada, Jon Paul is a father of three and a believer in designing both systems and lives with purpose. When he isn't untangling software, he's usually building something tangible: welding, shaping stone walls, drumming, or carving lines through fresh Tahoe snow.

Working since 13, he's done just about everything—from pouring concrete to deploying cloud stacks—and still chases the same spark that started Storm Cloud: building order out of entropy, one system at a time.

Eric Tucker

Software Engineer/Solutions Architect

Builder, problem-solver, and systems thinker who thrives on new challenges. Eric turns complex technical problems into practical, scalable software that teams can rely on.

Eric joined Gavel as employee #4 and quickly became a driving force in the company's core platform. From defining the startup's cloud infrastructure, to architecting scalable, cross platform, access controls with WASM based Open Policy Agent to building Gavel Blueprint—an LLM-powered agent that helps templatize legal documents. He consistently pushed the product forward with thoughtful engineering leadership and hands-on innovation.

He helped lead Gavel to win Clio's Launch//Code competition through a seamless, well-designed integration, that championed an infrastructure-as-code philosophy that empowered the team to deploy multiple times a day. Before Gavel, Eric held roles in architecture, engineering leadership, and full-stack development across industries—from clinical genomics at Ambry Genetics to large-scale CRM automation in finance and mortgage tech.

Based in Huntington Beach, California, Eric brings a quiet mastery to every project he touches. He's fueled by curiosity, motivated by hard problems, and happiest when he's learning something new or building something that lasts.

Data professional specializing in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and automation. Equally comfortable in spreadsheets, SQL queries, or server logs, Sacha builds reliable, end-to-end data systems that turn chaos into clarity.

With a background that bridges data science, education, and creative problem-solving, Sacha has spent over a decade transforming complex information into actionable insight. After earning both her B.S. and M.S. in Statistics from UC Irvine, she led analytics work for Fortune 500 and biotech clients—including attribution modeling for multimillion-dollar campaigns at Avalere Health (formerly closerlook, inc.) and performance optimization for Novo Nordisk and argenx.

At Storm Cloud Development, Sacha combines her technical fluency in Python, R, SQL, and BI tools with a rare systems-level perspective. She's built automated pipelines connecting Google BigQuery, Cloudflare KV, and real-time dashboards, increasing sales-qualified leads twentyfold and driving measurable business growth. Her approach to data is both rigorous and human—anchored in empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for clarity.

Fun Facts

Valedictorian turned homeschool mom, Sacha now lives in Reno, Nevada with her husband Jon and their three kids. When she's not designing data pipelines, she's skiing Tahoe slopes, tending her garden, or baking sourdough and sweets to share with friends. A lifelong musician and former bandmate of Jon's, she still sneaks in time to sing, play volleyball, and lead family nature hikes. Her life—like her work—is about building systems that nourish growth, connection, and clarity.
